Humanitarian for Human

Naya Paila Nepal is a community-owned organization working with local people in Nuwakot to create lasting opportunities through education, skills and income-generating projects.

Emergency Response: Flash Flood Relief

26 August 2026 — Ongoing

A catastrophic flash flood struck the Nepal–Tibet (China) border area, severely affecting Rasuwa District (including Syabrubesi, Mailung and Betrawati) and flowing downstream through Nuwakot, Dhading and into the Narayani River at Chitwan. Homes, roads, bridges, livestock and agricultural land have been destroyed.

Who We Are

A community-based organization rooted in Nuwakot

Naya Paila Nepal was established in the Nuwakot district after the 2015 earthquake. We are made up of local villagers — men, women and youth — who are committed to creating sustainable livelihoods in our native communities.

Our projects are designed and driven by the people who live here. We understand local needs and promote traditional industries and resources so that families can build lasting income and independence.

We focus on education, livelihood skills and community infrastructure that enable people to stand on their own feet.

Stories from Our Community

Voices from Karki Gaun

Real experiences from people who participate in our programs.

After the earthquake we lost everything — our house, animals and food. Naya Paila Nepal supported us in a very hard time and helped rebuild our home. Now we have a beautiful house with four rooms and enough space for the family. We are very happy.

I am 50 years old and had never been to school. The Adult Literacy Program means a lot to me. I am learning the alphabet in Nepali and English. Where there is a will, there is a way — I manage my time at home, in the fields and in class.

The Adult Literacy Program has become my soul. I have had no absences since the class started. I am speechless and overwhelmed. Thank you to everyone providing this beautiful opportunity.

The program helped my family create a more stable source of income through goat farming. We received training and animals, and the approach of passing on the first kids means more families can benefit over time.
