National and international volunteers are welcome to contribute to ongoing projects in Karki Gaun.
What you can do
We place volunteers in community schools, the Adult Literacy Program, agricultural projects (including goat farming and seasonal crops), and other village activities. It is possible to combine several placements.
Volunteering is open to people of different ages and backgrounds — from students to retired professionals.

Practical information
Location: Karki Gaun, Kispang Rural Municipality, Nuwakot district. From Kathmandu (Machhapokhari / Gangabu bus area) the journey is approximately 90 km and takes 5–6 hours by bus.
Food & accommodation: Most placements are homestays. A contribution is charged for meals and accommodation; this helps cover living costs and supports program continuity.
Program continuity: Volunteer fees and donations help maintain paid local staff who keep projects running when volunteers are not present.
